Where to power the projector from?

Hi guys;

I'm moving the hifi to a dedicated room and have set up a dedicated mains spur for the black boxes + DVD + AV receiver. Ideally, should I power my projector from the dedicated hifi spur or is it best to have the projector running off the house's routine electricity?

When I used a projector I had it on a seperate circuit. I don't think you would want it on the same spur as the hi-fi - I would think it is bound to introduce noise into the supply, especially as it contains an electric motor for the fan. Try plugging a hair dryer into the same circuit as your hi-hi and you'll see what I mean!

Thanks Peter. Logic dictates that I have the projector on a seperate circuit and that had been my plan from the beginning. But the reason I posted the thread is that I'm worried about having a ground loop and possible humming/buzzing. Thanks again for your input

Get your Spark to put it on its own mains down to where it will sit on the roof of your room.
Easy to do as your place is being worked on.
Look forward to the pics when its all done.
