Where to power the projector from?

Hi guys;

I'm moving the hifi to a dedicated room and have set up a dedicated mains spur for the black boxes + DVD + AV receiver. Ideally, should I power my projector from the dedicated hifi spur or is it best to have the projector running off the house's routine electricity?

Flame,

When I used a projector I had it on a seperate circuit. I don't think you would want it on the same spur as the hi-fi - I would think it is bound to introduce noise into the supply, especially as it contains an electric motor for the fan. Try plugging a hair dryer into the same circuit as your hi-hi and you'll see what I mean!

Thanks Peter. Logic dictates that I have the projector on a seperate circuit and that had been my plan from the beginning. But the reason I posted the thread is that I'm worried about having a ground loop and possible humming/buzzing. Thanks again for your input Smile
