Sound-insulating window for better hifi

I bought a house in a health resort. The people expect here that one is very calm between 8 o'clock in the evening and 8 o'clock in the morning. In order to be able to hear also in the evening still music in the necessary volume, let I the insulation glass windows this week replace by sound-insulating windows with 48 dB absorption. The costs amount to about 3500 EUR.

My surprise was largely as I an improvement of the room acoustics clear thereafter determined. The order of magnitude is most comparable with the improvement, which I obtained, when I attached my Prefix to its own Supercap - however the improvement was quite differently constituted.

While the Supercap supplied a quantity of purifying information additionally, is missing now a quantity of incorrect purifying information, which had been produced by vibrations of the old windows. The Prefix was separate two days from the Supercap, since I from concern over mean LP12 this during the change of the windows in another space had accommodated.

Nevertheless the improvement was to be heard from the outset. In the meantime 4 days passed. It sounds now naturally still better. A special advantage of this improvement opposite most tuning measure is it, which are not reduced the sound energy.

Frequency straightening are to be had mostly only thereby in which certain frequencies are away-absorbed. That may still adjust a DBL. For my SBLs this way is not passable.

Still another remark a good room acoustics is as important:
My dealer had organized before two years a large hifi festival. Among other things also a jazz life concert was given. The room acoustics was however greyful and in such a way could I hear that 2*135 SBLs can sound better with me at home, as even life with this terrible room acoustics.

The room acoustics is thus for the result at least as importantly as the gear itself. I doubt however that my dealer wanted to obtain this message. Nevertheless I thank him for this experience.
