Wow, that's a big one

Trundling through John Lewis at Cribs Causeway yesterday and came across a 65" Panasonic plasm being driven by a Panasonc Blu-Ray player. What a quality piece of kit! I had to drag my little boy as he was totally lost in the moment.

SWMBO was equally impressed, but did comment that wall mounting might result in the wall collapsing under the weight.

She also noted that £8500 was a lot for a telly.

And what´s the price of a DLP-Cinema-projector?
Brilliant picture with an adjustable diagonal.
Just to feed this beast with up to 300 Mbits/s datarate (10 time more than a blu-ray). Unfortunatly the film software is propably a little expensive. But who cares Cool

I think I'll just buy a theater. Shouldn't be THAT more expansive after all Winker

There was a truly big (more than 100 inch) one I saw in Osaka recently. Quite expensive, but truly impressive.

Come on Guys

£8500.00 is a lot for a telly.

Now where is my £14000.00 cd player £13000.00 pre amp and £13000.00 poweramp and £7000.00 speakers and £1500.00 cables.

Compared to some hifi the curent crop of high quality TV's offer exceptional value for money.

So stop your whinging.

Perceived values.

How about £50000.00 for a Merc BMW etc etc.

The sad thing is that the bigger size screens do not show you more information - only the same information but scaled larger. If there was a First class line of Broadcast that contained more data (I do not mean Hi Def) but extra info ie it showed an extra person or two in the morning two for breakfast programs (not that I watch them) or double the number of news anchors On BBC News 24
it would be worthwhile.
