Ghetto Blaster

Just to make a change from the usual "Will I notice how much better the 552 is than my 52 if I only have a CDS2 source?" type of postings, I have a requirement for a portable music source. I need to be able to play CD's and it must work from batteries. Some sort of ghetto-blaster would seem to be appropriate. Does anyone own one of these that doesn't make their eyes water when they play music? I need a fairly small unit - nothing suitcase sized.

I've always had Panasonic CD/Cassette/radios in the format you describe. They seen very reliable, and don't sound half bad bearing in mind what they are designed to do...
