HDX cover art
Posted by: gone on 31 March 2009
Is it possible to add CD cover art after the ripping process? I ripped Knopfler's Philadelphia last night, and AMG found the track listings OK, but no cover art.
I can' believe this is an unusual CD, so is it possible to add the image later, or should I delete and re-rip?
I looked in the Desktop Client, and there doesn't seem to be an option there
Cheers
John

One would hope the software update will allow this to be done via the application as it seems so easy to do any way.

Good work ! Useful info...
That's the good thing about software based systems - one can normally figure the fixes oneself !
In addition, presumably, once accessed as a share like this, audio files can be copied away from the HDX....?
Steve.

Hi guys
just tried to modify some covers and failed.
Maybe a simple question, where did I find the password for my HDX?
Thanks so far.

Thanks pdrodwell!
First time I tried the password

Just be careful, databases have a little thing about being messed with from the back end, get it wrong and you will be starting again.

Guys,
I realise that you're just wanting to update cover art but any "solutions" now will not be valid in a months time plus delving into the internals of an HSX/NS and messing with the filestructures is going to end up breaking things rather badly.
The internet has a lovely way of hiding the age of information so once 1.4D is out (I know it's been a long wait but it has to be solid) any information posted here *WILL* then be incorrect and will break machines and people will still be able to find it and will try it.
Thanks
Phil

Must admit I was tempted to try adding artwork to a disc or 2, agonizing over whether I would screw it up!

Hi Guys,
Steve H from Naim R&D here.
As we know earlier this week there was a post that described how to login to the unit and manually change the artwork. On the surface all helpful stuff, but unfortunately the advice wasn't completely correct and will cause the system image cache to become invalid. This in-turn could give units a problem when upgrading to the next software version as depending on what the user has exactly done, the upgrader may not handle it.
So, please chaps, don't fiddle with the internals of your HDX's!
Thanks
Steve

Open up the desktop client, select albums whith no cover art, then manually make a c ddb lookup. this helped me whith the coverarts in almost all the albums that miised images. Philadelpia was one of them! Regards/ Klotis..quote:Originally posted by Nero:
