12:34:56 07-08-09

This is just a little bit of fun, but tomorrow the date will be 07-08-09 and, as with everyday, the time for one whole second will be 12:34:56, put them together and im sure everyone can see what you get.
This is the only time for the next 1000 years that this will happen. For some reason things like this make me smile. I for one will be at the Great British Beer Festival when the, probably totally overlooked, event will occur.

Surely it'll happen every 100 years - 2109, 2209 etc.

Damn, I was over zealous with the 0's. Still, no one round here will live to see it.

I quite like these number games as well.

that is only happening in the backwards European numbering system.

..., which of course is based in something much older than what pertains in what we [in Europe] might call backwards USA!
Of course it is a question of cultures, and the USA is not backwards, but then neither is Europe.

They can't spell "proper" either, and don't walk anywhere because they drive their cars on the pavement etc......
Logically the date should be d/m/y or y/m/d as lists should ascend or descend.

absolutely!
But after living in too many countries with different date conventions, I have given up and now always write dates as "8-Aug-2009"...
