Hi there,
just a simple question...can a Klimax DS reach the emotional level as it does with LP12?

<NNC - No Naim Content>
Probably best asked in another place Winker

The Linn site has a forum, better changes over there...

it would have to sound better than the Accurate - I'd sooner listen to a CD5i than that any day of the week.

Nothing brings the emotional level you get from playing a record on a lp12

I've started rustling newspaper whilst listening - it gives me that same distracting surface noise effect i (dont) miss from vinyl Winker

I heard an akurate DS albeit quite briefly. It sounded very hard to me. But then part of that is the Linn sound, very strong, strident and punchy. Part of it may have been the system matching as well, although it was a naim pre + power.

The salesman was kind enough to point out that the Klimax was a significant step up and was 'starting to get there'. A lot of money though. I am keener to explore the various naim routes and have consistently preferred the naim sound over the linn philosophy.
