Jimi Hendrix (BBC4 19th May)

Saturday 19th May 2007, 22:00 to 23:40

Portrait of the late rock guitarist, featuring concert footage from a variety of venues, including Woodstock and the Isle of Wight Festival. With contributions from many of his peers, including Eric Clapton and Who guitarist Pete Townshend.

Probably a repeat.

They were his contemporaries, but hardly his peers.

Eric Clapton wasn't one of his peers? Pete Townshend may not have been his equal on the guitar but he wrote some of the most memorable pop/rock music ever. I think they're both quite entitled to be called his peers.
