nSub + nSats V. Arivas

Hello to the forum members,

I'm new to the forum but my relations with Naim started 22 years ago with the first Nait. Since then I upgraded the system several times and present system comprises the following: cds1( new transport & new black Burndy - hi-line will soon be ordered ),Nac 202(soon to be replaced by ordered Nac 282)/Napsc/HiCap/Nap 200),LP12/Geddon/Prefix/Flatcap, Nat 03, Sonus Faber Grand Piano speakers. The next items will follow:
Fraim + N-vi + surround speakers and finally CDS3 With 555PS to replaced the CDS1.
My questions are related to the integration of the N-vi to the hi-fi system. As I see two options are open:
a. the traditional option- N-vi + nSats x 2 + nCenter + nSub.

b. the second comprises - Nap 250.2 replacing the Nap 200 and substituting the nSub and Arivas x 2 instead of nSats x 2 as rear speakers + n-Vi + nCenter as in option a.
Musically ( if option b.is practical )which setup is the best.According to my dealer using the Arivas as rear speakers is a waste.
My second question is about the connection of the nSub to the system according to the posts that I read for hi-fi is preferable to connect it to a free output of the Hicap, so if I want to listen to a multichannel recording should I switch it over to the n-Vi's sub connection ?
Any input from you will be appreciated.

Hi Fabian

That's it - I'm visiting the Holy Land and staying at your place!

Great system.

With what you have I'd get the 250.2 and a pair of Allaes, with n-Sub and n-Sats and n-Cent.

But hey, if you can get Arivas at the back too, just try them. I'm sure your dealer won't have a problem taking the extra money off you.
