Hi there.

since yesterday i am the proud owner of gaborszabos "macho".

what a piece of music!!!
so: who knows and is able to suggest to me other cds or vinyls of gabor szabo.
did not know him until now.( Please excuse me for that , my fault)

are my favorites but a little earlier than macho

he did a couple of collaborations that are pretty nice too - one with Bobby Womack (High Contrast) and one with Lena Horne

pretty well known that he influenced Santana, who covered his Gypsy Queen on Abraxas.

Jazz Raga on Impulse! is very hard to get (never been released on CD AFAIK) but is something of a minor masterpiece; otherwise, wot John M above said.

Recently bought me Gabor Szabos Mizrab as one of my friend suggested it.

Truly exceptional LP, especially the two pieces in the A-side are really nice ones. Also soundwise this CTI pressing is very good quality so people that like jazz really should get this one..
