Wondering how to connect subwoofer to amp. Can I do this via flatcap? And what cables are necessary.
Thanks

Max,
What pre-amp do you have? Does you sub have a line voltage connector?

Marc-
If you mean line level RCAs than the answer is yes. The pre amp/amp is a nac 112/flatcap 2/nap 150.

Sounds like you are thinking to send the stereo signal from the Flatcap to the subwoofer, steal the lowfrequencies using the subwoofer crossover setting, then send what is left to the 150. This would mean to purpose built SNAIC's with one end a 4 pinDin and the other a pair of RCA's, and also means you are not using the excellent capabilities of the 150 to drive the low frequencyies which is a pity.
Alternatively if your sub has speaker level terminals you can wire it in after the /150. The same thing will be done as before then the rest of the signal will be sent onto your main speakers. This is simpler to wire but means you may have to abandon NACA5 in favor of something easier to connect to the speaker terminals on the sub.The benefit here is that the total frequency signal is processed by the /150 which is much better value.
It all depends on the allowed ways your sub can be connected.

Max,
I did this with Quads and 2 subs.(went out the back of the Super Cap to the subs)
I do not know the back of a flat cap. However, You will need to have a cable made up that will go from an output on the flatcap to the sub. ProMusica can make that for you. They made mine. Depending on what speakers you use?(and the type of sub you have) You can have your 150 crossed over at the input to give it a high pass to your speakers. This works a dandy.By crossing the 150 you will notice that your amp is sounding 2 to 3 times better than before. You have eliminated its burdon to reproduce that octave or portion of.........
Ken at ProMusica can help get you going.

I know someone who foung that connecting a REL sub to the back of his SuperCap degraded the sound through his SBLs, compared to connecting via the power amp where they weren't degraded.
