Classical concerts on FM in USA

Hi All,

Since the new season is in it's second week, thought I mention a great series of concert broadcasts that you should be able to find on your local classical station. Not sure if I can post links here - this is it (Adam it's a .org charity site is that allowed?)

Program Schedule
Oct 6Cleveland Orchestra
Franz Welser-Möst, conductor
Oct 13Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra
Fabio Luisi, conductor
Oct 20Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra
Sir Neville Marriner, conductor
Oct 27Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra
Nicholas McGegan, conductor
Nov 3Los Angeles Philharmonic
Lionel Bringuier, conductor
Nov 10Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra
Paavo Jarvi, conductor
Nov 17Philadelphia Orchestra
Christoph Eschenbach, conductor
Nov 24Simon Bolivar Youth Orchestra
Gustavo Dudamel, conductor
Dec 1Los Angeles Philharmonic
Esa-Pekka Salonen, conductor
Dec 8Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra
Douglas Boyd, conductor
Dec 15Montreal Symphony Orchestra
Kent Nagano, conductor
Dec 22Cleveland Orchestra
Ton Koopman, conductor
Dec 29Los Angeles Philharmonic
Edo de Waart, conductor

Note that the date is misleading, it merely indicates the week for example I am listening to the October 13 weekof concert by the Concertgebouw on October 19 at KDFC102.1 San Francisco. This is important because the commercial station will not indicate any information at all about public broadcasts, just indicate "symphonycast" or some such. The joys of commercial broadcasting in the US.

Time to tweak up your tuner and hear great orchestras live for free. By listening in a way you are still supporting scarce quality live concerts in the US.

Thanks Jeremy I'll probably be at the dudamel, salonen concerts. KUSC here in LA does a nice job of covering these events and some of the Proms.
