Philip Glass / Kraftwek sites

I found this recently:

www.philipglass.com

a pretty comprehensive site with everything you'd expect, and then ..... a very strange & interesting applet [top right hand corner of the page] called 'The Glass Machine', apparently an IBM research project, which when launched allows you to play with sliders that sort Glass's work by date, density, amount of diddle diddle etc.

The fascinating thing is that it allows you to hear loads of stuff that hasn't been commercially recorded [Fall of The House of Usher, White Raven, The Voyage etc]. Sound quality is variable, and a fast connection helps.

The Kraftwerk site is fun too

www.kraftwerk.com

in a zen kind of way.

I think the last thing Philip Glass could be accused of is being variable........
