Miranda *** Garden...

...anyone got any recommendations - I picked up the "Iris" EP on CD for a pound a while back and only started listening to it seriously last week. Intriguing stuff, but I wondered where to start re: their albums...
Any recommendations?

Very late follow up (three years on!). Eventually added "Fairytales of Slavery" and "Carnival of Souls" to the collection. Interesting stuff, dark and a bit grungy, but with some moments of real gothic beauty. A bit like my taste in women circa 1988...
Anyone else like this band? Probably not, given the fact that there's next to nothing in the Music Room about them...
John
PS. I assume they've split - can anyone confirm?

Nothing since 2000 according to All Music Guide. Your Dr Rockit has 2004 release (same source). I have no idea about their music though.

"After a day out in Oxford, the last vinyl records I bought were:

Miranda Sex Garden - Play

Another spooky coincidence ? Or the hand of gothic fate at play?
DS
ITC - John Came - Phythmicon

David, I tried a search, but you know how crummy it can be. Anyway, thanks for the tips, guys. Graham, I wouldn't describe MSG as 'mediocre' as such, but I know where you're coming from when you say that. The first few listens didn't do much for me but the better tracks sucked me in. Plus, as mentioned above, there's that late-80's-Goth-Chick thing going on in my head... heh heh.
I was aware of the MB connection - I've a couple of their albums and again, it's an acquired taste (or lack thereof?) but I'm always open to trying new music and I've found much to enjoy their too...
Cheers,
John

John,
I agree the search function is 80% bust.
I use on it to check up recent double purchases, so I would love for it to be fixed.
