Hi Peter

He's fine, but I haven't got any records by him. Only heard a few songs on the radio. I like his track on the above compilation.

My current folk playlist includes Shirley Collins, Karine Polwart, Rachel Unthank, Sandy Denny, Kate Rusby, Cara Dillon, Emily Simth, Katie Doherty, Jackie Oakes, Vashti Bunyan, Jenna Witts, Lisa Knapp, Eddi Reader, Maddi Prior, Eliza Carthy, Ruth Notman, Bella Hardy, Jo Mango, Martha Tilston, Maggie Holland, Uiscedwr, Bellowhead, Show of Hands and, of course, Waking The Witch.

Do you have any recommendations of Martin Simpson elpees I should listen to?

ROTF,

You are in for a treat here.

I would start with his 'Smoke and Mirrors' album. His 'Cool and Unusual' is also very good.
I would then buy his latest album prodigal son. You might have to buy (new) on ebay as I am not sure of the availability of the first two.

I have been going to see his gigs for 10 years. I once saw him with just 6 other people. A fantastic talent. Let me know how you get on.

Hi Jono - yes, I recorded it and watched it late last night - Kate always comes across really well.
