New Vinyl.

Well a little trip to Virgin stuffed any ideas of no more money on music.
Got fila Brazillias Old Codes New Chaos on three slabs of very heavy vinyl. excellent stuff, there was also a tonne of other tempting plasticy stuff, but alas I am not sure so here are some titles if anyone has a clue that would be nice:

Another late night: Howie B mixes
Luke Slater....
Back to mine: MJ Cole
Acid & Spacedust & Flying Saucers (looks good this one, music from the 60s and 70s)
Ray Keith.......

If anyone has any info on these realeases I would like to knw more, the howie B antoher late night has some cool looking tunes on it and Ray Keiths looks good on the cover!

Good show.
If you have a funky bone in your body, you'll want to pick up the new Herbaliser next time out. Their best yet. smile

Yea mike I heard a herbaliser album ina shop, I had to ask what it was couse it sounded good, must find this in vinyl though.

How many do they have out and is it remixes of old stuff or unique?

The Herbaliser have 5 proper albums, although one is an organic instrumental version of "Very Mercenary"; too close to Acid Jazz for comfort. The rest all swing. I haven't heard their first LP, but each one seems to build on the last.

"Very Mercenary" features lyricist What What; she's one of the best rappers I've heard, with a very sly yet dexterous delivery.

Their latest is "Something Wicked This Way Comes"-wicked wicked hip-hop. It's fantastically fresh, nothing like the BS that passes for "rap" these days. The ironic thing is that Herbaliser isn't even a hip-hop act; they're more like beatmeisters with strong lyrical sensibilites.

Fantastic band- all their stuff is readily available on LP...
