yeah Man U were a shambles in the last 20 mins. If only that last strike had sneaked under the bar.

Reading Reserves 2 - Man United 3

Shame really

Dreadful result at Luton BTW

Still at least Birmingham beat Leeds.

I woz there last night.

The Reading crowd were surprised by the first, stunned by the second and absolutely gutted by the third.

It didn't take long for the chief choirboy (a couple of rows in front of me) to start singing "Always look on the Bright Side of Life" then starting the "We're going to win 4-3" chant and spirits were lifted.

Reading took a while to get back into it but a few good runs by Storey and some reorganisation at the back seemed to settle them.

Reading are nothing if not fighters.

Great atmosphere though and one of the best games at the Mad Stad this season for thrills and close calls (and there have been some excellent ones...).

Van Der Saar was named Man of the match in newspaper reports I've read - says it all really.

seagull,
if it wasnt for the crossbar then it would have been a very interesting extra half hour.
watched it in glorious bbc hd - fantastic pictures.

yeah, Manu may have won the first 5 minutes but Reading won the remaining 85 2-0.

A pity the second came so late but Coppell seemed to be more interested in giving Doyle some time on the pitch (his first game back from injury) rather than putting the in-form Lita on.
