Of Course Tony Blair is a good and unquestionably honourable man, sincere, brilliant², and diciplined to the core as a world statesman & Father of four Children should be, as is The leader of the opposition Michael Howard; similarly excellent in his own right. Just normal folk like you and I (irrespective of their financial fortunes) Who the Hell are we to Judge ? we put em there, innit.

Joe,

I couldn't help but think that the lower half of your shot was a little distracting, so I blurred it a little and changed a couple of other areas.

What do you think?

Joe,

What do you think of it without the strap?

I also cleaned up the b/ground on the right.

Funny, you're not the first to make that comment on the photo, to which I can only ask why weren't you looking into Emily's eyes. ;-)

Hmmm, your editing certainly gives the pic a different feel, but I'm not sure if I like it better, partly because I'm not a huge fan of tilt/shift-esque blurring that seems to be all the rage in product and fashion photography.

Much better. Although I liked the placement of the strap when I took the shot, removing it is clearly an improvement. Thanks.

Here we go again

Success!!!

I have cheated and used a photo my brother in law took - it was the first image I managed to reduce in size. I shall try one of mine next.

Jeremy - thanks for posting the pictures of the observatory in Delhi. In the mid-90's I ended up travelling to India every few weeks for a while, and the office in Delhi that I went to was just next door to this observatory - a good place to walk around at lunchtime.

You're welcome. If I had known anyone who knew Jantar Mantar would be visiting this thread I'd have made an effort to get the colours right, although my memory has faded so much that I might make things worse. [For others, the pink of the first two pics is closer to the right colour IIRC].

I found these (red) tomatoes and collander in the sink one day and took a quick snap, standing on something unstable to lean over the sink. You can see the pic it ought to have been... [Contax 139 Quartz].

Sorry if I've been posting more than my fair share of pics (especially as they're nowhere near the standard of the best here) this will be my last for a while.

Jeremy,

Keep posting! I'm enjoying your pics. I've just got a roll of film back from a Yashica rangefinder I picked up on ebay for $10 and they came out far better than I would have expected. I'll try to upload one or two soon. What kind of camera are you going to put your Jupiter 8 on? A russian leica copy like the zorki? or a Bessa R?

cheers,

Dan

Dan,
Thanks for the kind words - glad you like my pics - looking forward to seeing your Yashica pics.

I bought the Jupiter 8 with attached Zorki 4K. I haven't tried it out yet, and probably won't for another month or so.
