I've been assured by a few in the know that white is better. I am using white, but solely because a fine pair were given to me (Thanks Dark Lord!). I can't be arsed listening to them against the black pair I have in the cupboard, and these ones were better-terminated. Soon they'll be going below the floor so I don't have to look at them any more - colour won't be an issue.

Hmmm... black probably uses carbon powder as a colorant, white titanuim dioxide, so black will have a lower resistance between conductors and white a higher dielectric (capacitance).
My guess is there will be b*&r all difference in sound!

Hey, don't blame me I didn't vote for the idiot.
hahaha what a joke!
Want to have better joke? Black cable sounds better with RAP music and white cable sound better with Classical (holy sh*t, I use the wrong type). Black or white sleeve? what difference does it make? same wire inside.

Read my post and you will realize it stated that there won't be any difference between black and white cable, ever heard of the term 'tongue in cheek'. Perhaps you are more familiar with 'foot on mouth'.
As to 'same wire inside' jeez, can you please take a class or something before spouting drivel. The type of insulation used plays a big difference in the electrical characteristics of cables.

Let's ask Naim Audio if there is any sonic difference between the white and black NACA5. I think we are talking about THE SAME isolation (mainly same plastic with different dye colour -- The level of sheilding is the same). Richard (Dane) where are you?

Differences are that one is black and the other is white....

Thank-you Richard....are you sure? Tuan has a good point !

The 'black' one is the darker coloured of the two, or to put it another way the one that reflects less light!

Can my 140 have some problems?
thanks

Black or White NAC A5 ?

Blend the two by putting black heat shrink over the white conductors.
Then rap and classical will exude forth with equal aplomb.
