552 jesus be gods

Well, here it is I have just listened to a 552/500/NBLs/CDS2

I am still shaking.

Big Bud Late night blues at 11 oclock, and yes I think its worth every penny.

Bass is like I have never heard, the 52 is good but the 552 extracts bass detail like nothing I could have imagined.

david Bowies track three on heathen, there is some complicted bass riffs here, my humble sistem does nothing to extract this detail. The 52 through the 500 does a fair job, but the 552 is putting bass out of them NLBs perfectly, in an unflustered and powerful way.

Really if you can offord this demo it seriously. Ignore what people say. ignore the bitching, ignore the mana crew.

Listen. For me it represents how important music is, and stopping music on this sistem is very hard indeed.

I don't think two sheets of glass with some cork is really the way to go.

Good post Gary.

Will you now have to upgrade to a bigger listening room so as to the NBLs really breath?

Roy, bless you, its not my sistem, I couldn't afford this ever, gives me something to wish for though.

Off to do the lottery now.

First of all, many thanks for the Divine Comedy album. I've heard it all the way through and really like its tongue-in-cheek British eccentricities.

Anyway, I think I recall when hearing a pair of SBLs together we were speculating on what the NBLs would be like in that system. Glad to know that you've been bowled over by these goliaths.

Andrew, its a new world out there! The 552 has really done it for me big time.

I think NBLs would be perfect with 135s, but in the context of the 500/552 I truely think these speakers show what they are capable of, and that is mind blowing bass reproduction, a reference point for anyone considering the naim route.
