Why are you looking to upgrade? Is there something you are not satisfied with?

a hicap will "anchor" the music nicely.

sometime ago after i had sold my 52, i used 112 powered by a supercap. very different preamp powered this way, i kid you not!!!!

depending on your long term upgrading plans (e.g to 282, 252) then this would be a very interesting intermediate (if a bit sledge-hammerish) stage. dem it and see what you think.

but hicap is a very good idea indeed for your system. my 112 is now back in the spare system powered by hicap driving 150 and Kan 1's -- sounds great!!

its not that im not satisfied with my set up beleive me, the system i have now has really opened my eyes and ears to how reall hi-fi can sound and i just think that upgrading it can only make it sound better.

I think you should immediatly buy some speakers.

from your original post it would appear that you do not own any!!!

I know you've got a FC Oakey, but if you can swing it, try to borrow a HC and shove it on the CD5 for a couple of days. You might be amazed.

i added a Hicap to my 112 and the benefits were staggering. it allowed my 180 to really grip my Epos Es22's

Do it..... you won't regret it.

then upgrade the 112 for a 202 at least( thats my plan!)
