England football stars to endorse new cologne, ' L'Eau de Chite'.

Another dismal performance yesterday against a team who played well, yes, but ultimately are not going to win the European Championship.
If England really think they are contenders they will need to despatch teams like this without too much trouble.
The passing was atrocious and particularly the final ball.
Not too much has moved on since Eriksson left, I feel.
Congratulations to the scots on a fantastic win by the way.

Or
McClaren: Tinkering wasn't to blame
England coach Steve McClaren insists the failure to beat Macedonia in their Euro 2008 qualifier was not down to his tactical tinkering.

In which case he is wrong.

Although I've never thought McClaren was the man for the job, I'm starting to wonder whether these players are really 'world class'. After all when did they last play well in an England shirt against decent opposition?
Sure they play well for their clubs but they are surrounded by foreign players and directed by foreign managers.
Perhaps the time has come to 'let go' of the notion that we are ever likely to win anything again.

And (I thought I would nevr say this) how good did last night show Sven to be at getting teams through qualifying?

Are but you need an English coach see, cos I mean, those foreign coaches don't understand our sophisticated footballing public see.
Take Big Phil for instance, he would have been no good (even if the FA hadn't cocked up the approach to him) 'cos all he's done is win things at international level. He dunt know about how England players play etc... ad nauseam cont page 94.
You watch Teflon Tel though, it won't be long before he's putting some distance between himself and this shambles.
It will be interesting to see how the Venables apologists cope with this latest addition to his very, very average exploits since Tottenham. Don't talk to me about Euro '96 either - had the lino been awake we would have been out before we beat the poorest Dutch side ever.
Steve.

The players are just too old. This guy must be at least 80 by now.

EDIT - apologies I though you meant vinyl floor covering (got floors on the brain at the moment). No doubt El Tel will leave Steve-O to take the stick. Quite right too he is the Boss!
Anyone see the U-21's the night before? They seemed to have a bit of pace and grit about them - will they still have it when they "graduate" to the main squad?

Sorry Steve,
I meant "Referees Assistant" who you may remember saved us in '96 by ruling out a perfectly good goal.
As if giving them that title has improved things.

You can bet El Tel will manage to come out smelling of roses and richer (sic) for the experience. Just ask the fans of QPR, Palace, Leeds, Portsmouth etc. etc.
Regards,
Steve.

Oh U-Turn in prospect?
Perhaps we can play him in goal alongside Robinson, purely to deal with backpasses.
The system could be 1 2 5 2.
