Dear Haim
Your photo seems to me nice but a tad sterile. What about some pictures of some beautiful girls. Aren“t they sufficiently urbane?

This is a digital photograph of a 7x5 print. Unfortunately the drier rollers had been contaminated and the spots showed up a few months after I made this print. It's shot from inside the frontage of an apartment building in Christchurch on 400 b/w with a Nikon F80.

Thought these buildings were very handsome but was suprised by the iron construction at the top of one of them.
Nuno should recognise where this is

Nice pics everyone. Would it be possible to post a bit of technical stuff; at least camera used and lens/focal length. (It may be in the image EXIF's but I haven't bothered to check.) and if any post processing has been done such as stiching panoramas or correcting verticals.
Interesting to know since architectural photography often requires the use of somewhat exotic lenses (ULtra wide or shift).
Thanks.

it's surprising what you can get away with in photoshop (re shift lens) when using a standard wide lens, and the 'lens correction' filters.

Here is a digital photgraph of an 8x10 print. It is the same apartment building (66 Oxford Terrace, Christchurch) as the photo above - taken on the same day. I used a Nikon F80/AF Nikor 35-80mm - it was right back at 35mm for this shot and I would have had it stopped down as far as I could for depth of field. The actual print is quite sharp, with some nice deep blacks. I didn't do any dodging or burning when I printed it (post-processing in the film age...)

We used to make our own power out here - my old platform.....
....can't give you camera details as I didn't take the pic!
Ok, so not quite urban in fact about as far away as you can get!!
.....what about this one....
Bruge Canal at night, Nikon D70s 25mm 15 secs at f/11 ISO 200
Or these, shot in Antwerp......
The old and the new, Antwerp Cathedral in the background and some 70's block on the right.....
Shot with my old Sony compact DSC-P10 7.9mm 1/250 sec at f/5.6
Antwerp Cathedral door, three shots stitched together, again taken with my old compact at 7.9mm 1/200-1/100 sec at f/2.8
Cheers,
Ali

He might mean High Dynamic Range?
As a computer gamer I thought this was more about graphics rendering but apparently not.

Thanks Deane F. High DYNAMIC range is the correct term. Explanation here

Nodrog
Do you have access to an Imacon scanner?
Oh, and is the b/w up there a desaturated colour image - or a scan from b/w?
