Global Warming?

Posted by: Adam Meredith on 30 April 2005

After the recent heavy rains I have noticed that the ducks, swans and coots that live on the many waterways around Salisbury have been "sitting" lower in the water. Some of the smaller birds showing only a neck and head above the surface.

Could it be that their buoyancy has been reduced by a dilution of the rivers?

The rumoured 5 Series duck will break with tradition and hover slightly above the water.

Oh, sorry, that's the 5 Series jesus.

The 5 Series duck will sink.

Deane,

Don't worry, they'll just wire it up to a FlatDuck2 - then it should float no problem.

Jon

You must be talking about the duck. The Snaic for jesus is no longer available.

Sussed it out.

What Adam is doing is subtely announcing the existence of a Naim DUC. This is to rival Linn's Multimedia range.

Other products will include :

Uniduck 1.1 and Quackonda PreAmp.

Expect a large bill .............

Did you mean the duck5i or the duck5x, there was a rumour of a duck555 but that’s a secret?

Maybe a typo on the order form for the valve-based Naim tests.....

Should have been mullard, not mallard !

Guys, you've all missed the really big news...

The FlatDuck2 can, eventually, be upgraded to the Platypus.

Has anyone considered that the ducks in Salisbury may be amphibiously challenged?

It would certainly explain a great deal...?

A Great Crested Grebe attacked my Danish pastry while we were picnicking the other day. They're proper gannets (except for the odd headwear). I blame the ducks. Dreadful example of foul and feather. The beggars are everywhere.

Just read that Richard Dane expressed concerns over a possible BBC bid to oust Adam from his current position to that of the "new" Doctor Who.

I can see it now ............
