Outlook Express: Can't send attachments.

OE removes any files or attachments each time I try to send them. Any ideas?

Are you sure its OE doing this, or have you got an anti-virus prog, aol or norton for example which is stopping the attachments/links from getting out? Do you get any sort of error message/notification that stuff hasn't been sent?

Message stating "OE has removed unsafe attachments". Have tried to install Thunderbird but am unable, which is strange because I downloaded Firefox and have been using it for a year with no problems.

THat's strange indeed - what was the problem with Thunderbird? It's probably the best mail client out there at the moment if you can get it working.
Are you trying to attach an executable file with OE? That might flag up as "virus like"...

After installation, just keeps coming up as 'not found'

A programme file (as opposed to a document file) - viruses are executable and other benign programme files are sometimes mistaken for them.
Have you tried running Thunderbird from My Computer rather than the shortcut on your desktop? It maybe that the shortcut is wrong or jiggered... it's well worth persevering with it if you want a really good email client. (That's also free!)

If you look at 'Tools-Options' at top of most versions of OE, you can often alter things to suit your requirements.
