Booking an appointment at an Apple Genius Bar.
Posted by: Tony Lockhart on 04 October 2009
I need to book an appointment for Friday, but the online booking system will only let me book for this Wednesday. Is this normal? Are bookings available on a rolling calendar?
There seems to be no way to phone for an appointment either. And, what use is a Genius bar during a normal working day? Must be a piece of piss job then!

What Genius came up with this real stupid concept.
Was all over the radio here in Sydney this evening.
There is a legal responsibility to provide warranty and after sales service.
Making the customer go to extreme effort to travel to a distant Genius Bar after trying futilely? to make a convenient appointment.
This is a new way to really piss off customers who are already unhappy with a faulty product.
Genius Bar i am still crying with laughter at this name for a dumb concept.
Monty Python comes to mind.

The Genius Bar is over and above the warranty and after sales service - often a face to face conversation is the best way to solve a problem or persuade the techy that a real problem exits.
If you do not have a convenient local Apple store search out if there is a local Mac User Group nearby and go along, and /or search out the various Apple related forums on the Internet of which there are many.

You have it so wrong. This is a free service over and above the standard warranty. Show me where HP, Dell, Lenovo, LG etc offer this to their customers?

There is nothing perfect in this world. Whatever you do, people still find and look for faults, c'est la vie.
