Help with nVi System please.

Posted by: davea on 20 August 2007

Hi,
Just bought a 2nd hand nVi in order to set up a home theatre.
So far I also have a pair of nSats but that is it.

I am looking to build up the rest of the system and a few questions occurred to me. Guess I should have answered them before I started but impulse got the better!

(1) Do I need all 5 speakers to use the nVi or can I start with two and add a centre, then rears, sub etc.

(2) Not sure budget will allow all speakers to be Naim for some time. Will I get away with alternative, eg Neat in the meantime?

(3) What screen would be best in the 42 inch range? Or alternatively what key features should I look for? ( sub £1000 if poss)

(4) How is it best to receive DVB-T (Freeview) in such a system? Built into the TV screen or with a separate box?

Any/all advice very gratefully recieved as I am new to the home theatre side.

cheers,
Dave

1) No you dont have to use all speaker outputs. Just set the n-Vi speaker configuration accordingly.

2) It is designed to run with a wide range of speaker/cable configurations
