Disgusted of Tunbridge Wells
Fredrick,
I noticed a “Letter to the Editor” in the free Metro this morning from a certain gentleman in Herefordshire by the name of George Johnson. Nice and concise.
“Voter apathy is the biggest enemy to our democracy” was the theme.
Any comment?
Cheers
Don

Last thing I knew George was in Worcester which by strange coincidence is in Worcestershire, not Herefordshire. I think Hereford's in Herefordshire however...

Stop confusing the issue with facts.

I'm inclined to agree, but then again I'm not really bothered.quote:Voter apathy is the biggest enemy to our democracy
Don't vote - it just encourages them.

Can't be our man, cos it don't say:
My dear Metro,
I am truly delighted with my modest little replay set, its sonority, its insight, it's simply a delight in every regard.
Errr... 72, Volvo, wódka, ice cream, Muse, global warming, 72, replay, sonority, 72, wódka.
Do widzenia,
George

Just seen this!
Very funny!
In the days of my long dead [English] grandfather there were indeed two farmers called George Johnson in Herefordshire, who only lived about six miles apart. This caused endless fun ...
What I do think is quite funny is that people take me at all seriously!
I always say what I think, so there is no question of inconsistency. I just do not see why people worry about whether they agree with me or not. If I post it is really for the silent [non-posting] majority, some of whom may actually be glad that the Forum actually does present a range of opinions, rather than a sheep-like unanimity and a wish in all here to rush thoughlessly through the same hole in the hedge just because another sheep mentioned that the grass was greener in [in the first sheep's opinion, though almost never qualified as such], followed by a headlong rush onto the new pasture, which seems strangely similar to the old one!
