New speaker cable

I have just bought some NACA5 cable. To replace some linn cable that was biwired, to a Naim 200 = 202. Which was installed by the dealer that I bought the Naim. But since speaking to Naim at Bristol, the speakers should be wired single and not biwired.
After fitting the new speaker cable, to the 2 top terminals on my Ruark Talisman's this just did the tweeters, I have now connected the pair to the 2 bottom connectors off speakers, and it sounds a bit muffled to the original Linn cable.
Do I have to bridge out the 4 connections?. So the same ending as biwired on all 4 connections. Or do I have to wait for the cables to run in.
