still at the dem stages with speakers..fancied demoing the s8's but more than i budgeted for....checked the spendor website and realised they've got s6's at £1300 !!! anybody heard them??

In a dealers - quite nice. I then borrowed the S9 and plugged it into my CDX/XPS/82/250 - sounded just as described in Hi Fi News - not quite balanced, in my view, but very revealing midband. However, I much preferred Dynaudio Contour 1.8/IIs, so bought them instead.
