Bought one for my mum for Christmas with little chance to review them. Was a £69 from Curuys.digital picture quality ok, would not go into repeat mode, buttons not clearly labeled.
Reason for purchase, so many digital picture I can now just take or post a storage card to her and she can view them easily.

If buying again (as I also arranged for her to get sky+ and broadband, as no freeview where she is) and now had the time to do some more research I'd probably go for a Kodak with WiFi.
Reason better picture quality and remote controls and with WiFi linked to her broadband could send new pictures easily to the frame from anywhere.

I bought a simple one which has a slot for memory cards and a bit of software to manage how you display photos.

The image is bright enough to view easily from halfway across a room with good color strength.

Two drawbacks:
1) The picture displayed is smallish so it is not much use for seeing facial detail except up close
2) Vertical aspect ratio pictures are even smaller shrunk to fit the horizontal aspect screen.
