HDX and DTS

Is there any way of playing a DTS encoded CD on an HDX or any other hard disk player for that matter?

I would stick my neck out there and say no, but I do not know for sure, you want a DVD player.

As much as a DTS-encoded CD can be played back through the digital out of a regular Red-Book compatible CD player, yes–but without any decoding.

You would still require an external processor to get any use out of this stream.
