Online kitchen appliance store

Any recommendations - particularly for reliability. We are having the kitchen ripped out; I had my eye on NBL’s and 135’s but was accused by my wife of mission creep.
Some prices look good against John Lewis (I don’t think they’ll match the net) but the fitters all suck through their teeth with “wouldn’t do that mate oh no dead unreliable mate”

Thank
Martin

I would have thought your best bet would be recommendations from friends/family in your area.

We have been planning some knocking about to our house including new kitchen but are still a way from doing so. Two weeks before Christmas our oven failed. Searched the internet using Pricerunner and similar sites and got some prices. Then my wife on the off chance walked into a local retailer, Keymex, and they matched the best price I had found on the internet. We paid extra for delivery and fitting - we couldn't bring ourselves around to haggle having been offered the price match. Oven delivered and installed in time for Christmas. That's what I call service.

We now have a nice stainless steel Nef double oven.

Regards

Last year we bought a Neff cooker, hob and hood from UKAppliances. Can't really fault them, though we've not needed to contact them for any after sales support.

In terms of fitting the items - well, an electric cooker isn't exactly a difficult thing to fit - assuming you have the cabling in place from an old one. The gas hob can be fitted with a Corgi-registered plumber doing the final connections, and a cooker hood is again fairly straightforward, though you'll need a borer if you're going to vent to the outside. Or you can get a recirculating hood instead.

Just my experience. Biggest difficulty is lifting the bu66ers into place - our double oven was mightly heavy! Luckily Neff provide little handles to make a very difficult job a little less difficult.

Bought Bosch oven and dishwasher from Quality Electrical Direct online last year. Big savings from high street prices. Very efficient, helpful at delivery time but no installation. Still having saved £400 on the oven alone I was happy to slide it into the space and plug it in at my own expense!

AEG Are also good stuff for less money, we got the lot on various on line stores, a fridge a freezer, hob and oven all from different places all a lot cheaper than the highstreet and all here within twelve days.

And comet wonders why its doing badly.

Gary it's funny how people have different perceptions of things. We bought an AEG washing machine, drier and dishwasher when we returned from the USA in early 1990. Although they were a fair bit more expensive than the usual Hotpoint, Hoover etc stuff they looked and felt of significantly higher quality. Sadly appearances were deceptive. The dishwasher was written off after less than 3 years and the washing machine followed suit a year or so later. Overpriced rubbish is my assessment of AEG gear I'm afraid. WOuldn't touch it again with a barge pole.

I've just bought a Miele dishwasher from Tradeappliances.co.uk. The price in Comet was £899 and I paid £615 plus £19.95 delivery.

Last year I bought a Miele vacuum cleaner from tribaluk.co.uk. The price in John Lewis was £219 and I paid £171 including delivery.

Well, got all our stuff in the end from tribal typical price of Bosch oven John Lewis £550 "cant beat that price" tribal £419 delivered! Great service, timed delivery - non of your between 8 and 6 sorry. The truck driver called to say he 20-30 minutes away on the said morning. One problem with the glass door on one of the ovens (smashed !) - this was reported and replaced with no quibble and the same good delivery.
Martin, getting used to the induction hob - brilliant!
