Anybody intelligent enough to lash out a whopping 1.40 for today's brand new issue of you know what! will not only find marvellous comments such as why the laughing policeman has stopped larfin on moral grounds, but also an interesting informative letter from The Right Honourable George Galloway MP (Georgeous George himself) on why he still is in fact so very very lushiously gorgeous.

In Europe it was announced that an agreement has been reached whereby English will be the official language of the European Union rather than German, which was the other possibility.
As part of the negotiations, the British Government conceded that English spelling had some room for improvement and has accepted a 5- year phase-in plan that would become known as "Euro-English". In the first year, "s" will replace the soft "c". Sertai nly, this will make the sivil servants jump with joy.
The hard "c" will be dropped in favour of "k". This should klear up konfusion, and keyboards kan have one less letter.
There will be growing publik enthusiasm in the sekond year when the troublesome "ph" will be replaced with "f". This will make words like fotograf 20% shorter.
In the 3rd year, publik akseptanse of the new spelling kan be expekted to reach the stage where more komplikated changes are possible.
Governments will enkourage the removal of double letters which have always ben a deterent to akurate speling.
Also, al wil agre that the horibl mes of the silent "e" in the languag is disgrasful and it should go away.
By the 4th yer people wil be reseptiv to steps such as replasing "th" with"z"and "w" with "v".
During ze fifz yer, ze unesesary "o" kan be dropd from vords kontaining"ou"and after ziz fifz yer, ve vil hav a reil sensibl riten styl.
Zer vil be no mor trubl or difikultis and evrivun vil find it ezi tu

Some good points well made.
Employment law should be about protecting workers rights now that the unions have been largely stripped of power. Unfortunately it has also become a way for lawyers and opportunists to make money and this often detracts from what are essentially good pieces of legislation (like the age discrimination act). It then makes employers (and over cautious defence lawyers) behave in bizarre ways that give the press an opportunity to exploit in order to make the legislation itself appear ludicrous.
Perhaps legislation should be introduced to regulate against unreasonable 'mumbo jumbo' claims and then people could sue the suers for suing!

Re: Last Post:
This is quite true Captain, but while you and I banter here and there on this ere internet forum, Cherie and her pals (over the last 10 years) have cashed in on some 15% of the (NATION'S) legal aid fund, paid for by the taxpayer for the taxpayer and have subsequently taken money from serious people in need of help in my view. Likewise with the NHS (etc) PFI fiasco which eventually will become public and possibly the biggest financial scandal in Modern British History the er, public in their 'APATHY²' will no doubt ignore it so long as inflation and employment are in relative check.
Fritz Von My estimates are at present £280 Billion-ish that the exchequer has not declared as part of national debt.

Have managed to get my hands on a copy of 'Tony & Charlie's' Heartplay album. Really all I can say is that it is absolutely beautiful. Their playing is getting into the realm of without peer in their regard of subtlety and delicacy and neither have succumed to the need to throw in notes just in order to exert their (ageing?) guitar/bass muscles. Must be the growing old process. They are almost without peer in expressing an inner beauty that is not easily put into words. Straight from the first track titled 'Anna' (for our own fair Miss Tooth?) you will find yourself unable to take your ears away.
The recording is one of the best I have in my collection as well, so a big hats off to Ken C. who has undoubtedly played a big part in allowing the duo to communicate so well to the listener.
The playing contained within the disc can only be described in one way which, could have lent itself to an alternate title, and that is 'heartfelt'. It really is that good.
Enjoy.
Sean.

Zubrowka with Apple Juice is bloody marvelous. I have some here at the moment!
The others are noted and I bet I'll learn even more in a fortnight when I travel to Poland for the first time!
Not very well today. So this is short and sweet. Work and stress related, not alchohol related!

Hi Steve,
There was a huge thread that covered this subject (page 4 onwards) a while back here:
http://forums.naim-audio.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/58019385/m/2042966307/p/1
Presuming it's dust on the sensor, conventional wisdom says that nothing should touch the sensor, and aerosols can also be harmful, as they contain propellant which can leave a residue.
However, I've more recently found (from a reputable dealer) a brush system with a battery powered 'spinner' which spins all dust particules out of the brush, and also statically charges the brush to remove particles. It seems to have been successful on my D200, but needs a careful hand.
Good luck,
Phil
Oh Yeah! Probably one of my most favouritist threads of all time, wunnit*
