Being a life-long fan of late night (Short Wave) Talk Radio, right back to LBC, Capital, Radio London, BFBS days, I rather enjoyed listening to Mike Dicken last eve. The subject of the night (generally speaking) was er, D & A datebases etc, CCTV too, surprise surprise. Well this one's for Our Andy, Dicken had a guy on from London (Serving Police Officer) who remained anonymous, who was talking about the real effectiveness of CCTV & D & A etc in his experience and opinion, and very enlightening stuff it was too. Dicken referred to a robbery at their own studios (in Oxford Street) some 5 years previously, where the tea leaves had taken the lot, puters, gear etc, etc, and the front door had been broken (with blood on it) the floor had blood on it, and the Skylight where they departed had blood on it. When the CSI Officer appeared he looked around, and said "there's not much I can do here I'm afraid gentleman". Three other Journo's radio gadgies were there to witness this next bit, Dicken asked the Officer "What about all this blood then Chief?" to which he replied in all honesty "Do you think it could be from the Burglars then?"
