The Guinness Premiership Thread
Posted by: Chillkram on 12 January 2007
As we have a football thread I think we need a Guinness Premiership thread as well in the run up to Wasps taking revenge at Welford Road in April.
Details can be found here on the season so far.
Remember, Wasps are the play off kings!

Do you mean pay cheque

Do you really think that Leicester is any more exciting than Gloucester as a city. I don't think either place would rank as the centre of the UK universe

Thank goodness rugby does not have the football premiership problems, of big names on mega salaries who don't/can't perform (as most of Chelseas's last summer signings)
I will be sorry to see Richards go to L Irish but I am not Dean Ryan and don't know the inside track, and we do have the Scottish scrum half.

As I understand it, there's a policy of no mega salaries at Leicester.
Nice write-up FF. Leicester having been in the same position more than once before, we do have sympathy with how it feels to finish the regular season on top, to be beaten in the determining match at the end.
Don't forget, everyone, highlights on BBC2 12.30pm today.
James
PS I was thinking about a 2007/8 Season Ticket for Welford Rd, but just a bit worried about realistic amount of use, being quite a long journey across 4 counties...

Commiserations FF. It's a long way to go to see your team pulled apart like that and to consequently lose everything your team has worked so hard all season for. You have my sympathy because, although Wasps have benefitted more than anyone from the play-off system, I do not think it is right. The team that finishes top should be the champions, full stop.
That said I also think that Leicester have been the best team this year and I sincerely hope we do not catch them in the same kind of form that you did when we play them next week.
Regards
Mark

Is next week's game live on Sky or the Beeb? I'll be in Spain and need to know what channel to look out for. I'm sure I can find a bar that's showing the game, just to get me out of the searing heat.....lol!

Now here is a real dilema for you, I met a really nice girl on Saturday night and having spoken to her on the phone last night, she wants to see me on Sunday afternoon around 3ish.
Now you can see my dilema can't you?

If she's not into sport, bin 'er!

P.S. What constitutes a "really nice girl"?

What's the dilemma, PB?
A) An afternoon with an attractive girl going for a coffee and really enjoying her company with a possibility for developing something more...
or
B) An afternoon of pain and misery spent watching your favourite rugby team being ripped apart in the European Cup Final by Wasps?
Hmmmm, no dilemma!

Shouldn't be too difficult if Tigers get the same turnout as they did on Saturday according to FF!

Yes but at least we will be coming back with a big shinny cup on our coach

The official allocation of tickets to the Club sold out in an hour. So I guess it depends on how many had to opt for aftermarket
