What is the general opinion on pc or mac based sources whats best what should we avoid

Gary there is a massive amoutn of info over the top 5 threads of this room of the forum. I'd have a sift through some of them. There are lots of ways to get a really workable and good sounding solution from both pc or mac.
It appears that for stand alone ripping programs then you're better with a pc based system but i've not had any problems with using itunes on a mac.
