Grey snaic & black snaic

Rob.
I bought a black bundy for my 52 to scap. It seems to reduce background noise i.e. the black passages are blacker, and it also allows me to play louder. This could be due to lower distortion I guess. But don't expect night/day difference.
I would suggest to save up for a used hicap first for the 72 if you want a real upgrade.

At present, going nuts over isolation shelves.
More organic, more music, more detail, more rythmn, more flow. Not subtle, even on an old 42/110 combo. See your dealer, hand him the cash. You will not be unhappy. Ok - it's not a source upgrade, but a great value for money upgrade - along the lines of The NEW NACA5, only slightly more subtle.
Rico - all your base are belong to us.
Why?

I seem to feel as though the grey Snaic presents the music in a more upfront, brash, and "louder" way. This has its value, as it initially seems more "exciting".
The black Snaic seems smoother, with highs and upper midrange less agressive. The sound is a little more "laid-back" tonally. However, so far it seems to me that the black Snaic possesses a greater level of detail, and more of the pace and groove thing. Complex musics are resolved better, and the whole thing takes on a more "toe-tappping" quality. So I vote black Snaic so far.
Has anyone else noticed the Black Snaic to have more of the "groove thing"?
