Out today on Thirsty Ear records, who put out Optometry by DJ Spooky. Anybody picked it up? Mine's on it's way from the states. I'm hoping it will satisfy my APC craving until the new Beans release on Warp.

Mmm. Sounds nice. I think I'll have one. APC are sort of the darlings of Wire Magazines Hip Hop section, and they are pretty good.I've got their last one. Although I think teh Ultramagnetic MC's are badder.

That evil man John C has got me hooked on bloody DJ Spooky, Optometry is excellent!

Everyone owes Ultra Mag (and Kool Keith) a debt Smile.

Sadly, this is absolutely the last APC release, as they broke up a while back. If you like Arrhythmia, you'll love 'The Ends Against The Middle' and 'Tragic Epilogue'. Blaize's beats are alot harsher, which is a good thing in my book. You might also want to check out APC's collab with DJ Vadim. It's called 'The Isolationist', and it's on Jazz Fudge. I have to say, I found the beats a bit lacking, but it has a great track called 'Hydrogen Slush' which makes it worthwhile.

Did you get it yet? I'd say it's the most accessable thing APC have done. I'd figured it would be much more adventurous, but it's straight-up fun from the first listen.
