move away CRT TVs from your naim!

I recently decided, to have a big picture according to my big sound
Therefore I had to move several pieces of furniture and hifi-gear in my living room.
It is nothing new, that bulky objects between your speakers degrade the sound. But I never expected an increase in musical quality, only a bit of soundstaging or something like this...
I had a "two stacks wide" rack to fit the 32"/82cm 16:9 TV on the top shelf. Because of the 56cm depth of this heavy beast and a little room for cabling behind, the rack stood out about 20cm more from the back wall, than the front panels of my DBL speakers on both sides.
The surprise was, that only the removing from the TV on the top shelf made the big diffenrence. He stood about at the height of the tweeter/midrange box
Even with the rack and the equipment to its old place, there was a lot of: where does this suddenly come from - why didn't I hear that before?? You for sure know the effect. At least worth one SuperCap kind of upgrade value, I'm not joking here!
To me, this could not be possible only because of the channeling or separation effects that the tv physically had on the speakers. I suspect the radiation or electric field from the big CRT had also bad effects on the equipment in the rack below. Can someone with more electrical know-how confirm/reject my theory?
The place between the speakers is now taken with a 55"/140cm DLP Rearprojector with the same depth as the DBL's and has no bad effects on the sound. The rebuilt rack is one stack only but higher and placed to the right.
Better sound & better vision. What more could I want
happy listening
