help me find a song from the film american beauty

It's a long shot but...

There's a beautiful cover version of Neil Young's 'Don't let it bring you down' by a female singer at the end of the film American Beauty. It's not on the song listing on the soundtrack CD (UK and US versions) and I can't find it in the credits.
gotta find it!

So, Alan,

why did you put the pretentious bit about the plastic bag in the wind in the movie?

Or to put it another way: I can understand you put it in, but I what I really fail to see is why you didn't edit it out in the final cut. Who needs that kind of vapid poetry, when there's enough poetry in the various forms of drama between the characters?

Nonetheless congrats on the many awards.
