Laptop

For the past 2 months I have gone from listening to my Naim CD5 to ripping CD's on my laptop using J River Media Jukebox and find the results very good indeed. I am thinking of buying a dac for the Laptop I have about £200 to spend. What is the best I can buy and would it be an improvement on just listening via a connection from the headphone socket into my Nait Amp

For that budget I would go for the Beresford Caiman or a Valab Nos DAC,

Try to check out the Devilsound DAC. I use one (Model 2, not the newest version) with my Apple laptop and it is in your budget and sounds great. Much better than the headphone out. All in one unit. No cables to buy. Will fit in a pocket or computer bag.
