Clowns, Goldfrapp - Hiss???

Is it just my copy or does everyones copy of the Seventh Tree, Goldfrapp have interference on the intro to Clowns.

Have a listen and you'll see/hear.

Perhaps its intentional.

Played the album once and didn't like it one iota. I will play it later and see if a hiss materialises. At least it will provide me with something to look forward to when listening to it Winker

Bring back the band who created Supernature is what I say!

From what I remember the hiss comes with Allison's vocals, like they were recorded with very high gain and overlaid onto the instruments. Listen again.

Ok, curiosity got me and I played the track. There is an effect like somebody blowing on the mike as the lady sings. Quite distracting really. Lucky I don't like the album. Winker

Ditto.

Seventh Tree and Felt Mountain are both great albums. As for Supernature? What were they thinking?

I took a long time to get into Seventh Tree but its worth it - love it now. Nothing wrong with Supernature - great to play in the car on a fast run Big Grin

PS and just remembered how great it sounds at home too ...

Tried Seventh Tree this afternoon and fell asleep. My preference is for the Goldfrapp that produced Supernature and Black Cherry.
