About the Future

OK - the 5i and CD5i were just announced, and part of the reason given for the improvements (OK - not really heard them yet, but lets pretend for now, 'k?) was due to trickle down technology from the higher range, or so I read somewhere.
Now...here's the toughie.
I thought that the Nait 5 ALREADY incorporated trickle down technology from the 552/500 (with loads of compromises, of course) and the different sonic signature of the Nait 5 seemed to confirm this. It has the "new family" sound, if you will.
But now we find out that either it was not a trickle down design or that they found a way to trickle down more into it - or something like that (this all very speculative).
So...one umpteen pound question is...
WHAT ABOUT THE REST OF THE REFERENCE RANGE???
Can we expect a 250i to come out?
What about a passive 202i?
Just wondering if we should expect a revamp of the Reference range in the short to mid term or if the Reference line is not under redesign ("i"-ing as it were) at this time.
Thoughts?
