Hi all, Thought I had better report what on what I have bought. Barshai's version cost me £21 at Virgin in fact it was the only version available in the three major outlets in Swindon. It is not for me but I will hear it but as yet not sure when so my thoughts may never appear here as too much time will have probably gone by. My one observation is though that classical music is now a dying thing for both HMV and Virgin both stock very little and Duck Son and Pinker, once a large stocker of classical titles now stock NON! Just what is happening to the world? Soon it will only be pos to buy from rare and far to travel to shops as only crap will be stocked by the multiples. Perhaps we should support the smaller local type of shop (I did try but he didn’t have anything and I couldn’t wait) for at least they try and cater for the musically minded as well as the musically dead! I hope this all makes sense but having had a long day and a few drinks now is not the best time to think as clearly as I usually might.
Thanks again for your help.
