Logitech Harmony 1100 - Universal Remote

Posted by: DaveBk on 31 March 2009

Just bought one of these little gadgets and must admit it's rather good. 5 remote controls, one of which was inevitably lost down the back of the sofa at any given time was becoming a pain, and this provides a simple elegant solution. The 1100 seems to overcome the limitations of the model it replaces - the 1000, which many people have said was slow to respond to it's touch screen. If you're in the market for a stylish universal remote and can cope with parting with £350 then this is well worth looking at.

I've got the base model, the 555, that I have just set up for use with the 202.

Nowhere near as whizzy, but runs off AAAs rather than having to find somewhere to plug another bloody charger in!

Cheers

I saw the fixed charger location as a definate advantage - at least I have some hope of remembering where I put the damn thing...

My cordless phones ring when out of the charger, therefore easy to find.

But do you have to wait the 4 days standby time before you can ring anybody? Big Grin
