Ok - you might have persuaded me then. Picked it up this morning in the store but walked out with some others instead. I have read a couple of outstanding 5 star reviews for it.

I heard an interview and excerpts on NPR (USA public radio) yesterday and was very attracted to it. Checked out more excerpts online and while the gorgeous and trippy textures still grab me, it seemed that the vocal was very similar ... too similar ... on almost every track. Not just the sound of the lead singer's voice and his vocal mannerisms, but the melodic content ... the melodies themselves seemed too similar. Still attracted but it gave me pause, made me think I might tire of the album too quickly.
But the soundscape textures are stunning!
All best,
Fred
