AE / SN / Linn Classik Q

Quick query.

I have an imac downstairs, I am wanting to (temporarily) send audio wirelessly upstairs to feed a Linn classik. Then in a few weeks a supernait.

Can someone please tell me what I need to be able to do so. Also, can a HiFace be used in such a setup?

Get an Airport Express. Use the analogue out into your Classik. When you get the SuperNait, use SPDIF optical from the AE to your SuperNait.

The Airport Express is setup as a part of your WiFi network (you don't actually need a sparate router, but your iMac must have WiFi), and it then appears as a speaker option in iTunes. Select it and you're away.

HiFace wouldn't work as the AE doesn't have a USB out to drive it. It also isn't required.

Yes any dac will work in this way
