52 + Supercap

Posted by: pcm on 10 October 2002

Having had the loan of the new 552 for a week, if I decide to proceed and shell out the readies, what advice do Forum members offer with regards to fair trade in from dealer? How much could I realistically expect if I sell the 52/Supercap privately? The equipment was bought brand new 3 years ago.
I would appreciate your input.

Naheed,

It good to hear you have had some positive experiences. Good dealers are hard to come by. Personally I think it's poor form to talk about specific bad dealers on the forum. However we all need to promote the good ones as much as possible.

Thats good sound advice David. There are plenty of good dealers out there who pride themselves on their service.

Lets support them as best we can and let market forces sort out the bad ones.

Hi, I remember Andy from Sound Advice and in fact when he moved to Sytners, I bought a 5 Series Touring from him, a few years ago! cool

He also sold me my SBL's and various other pieces of kit over the years..... big grin

It was he, (I think) about ten years ago (or more) that suggested that the margins were 40% -
perhaps things have changed over the years....... Or my mind is playing tricks..... eek

Yes, it took "ages" to buy the Beemer but I like the bloke anyway and it was a great car big grin

Have I tried the SL2's passive yet?

No as I don't understand what plugs I need to swap over etc. confused
Plus, I'd have
to use my SBL crossovers 'coz Derek took the SL2 ones back with him in the
boxes.......

Computers are supposed to work on 1's and 0's - in other words "Yes" or "No" - why does mine frequently say "Maybe"?......
