The Bob Harris Radio Show Has Changed Days

Posted by: J.N. on 05 April 2010

If you have Bob's Web-Site programme playlists for the Saturday show bookmarked as I do, you'll notice that the playlist for 3rd April show is not shown. That's because the show now starts at midnight, so has become the first Sunday programme.

Fellow old farts might also be interested in a new series called 'The A to Z of AOR' which Bob is presenting at 10pm Radio 2 on Wednesday.

I think this is very disappointing and is in line with the general trend of the BBC to dumb down to the lowest common denominator.

IMHO, Bob Harris is the best music broadcaster on the airwaves and moving his show to this time is going to reduce his audience even further. It used to start at 10.00 and has progressively moved to later and later slots.

Thanks John, I loved his show and would reguarly listen on the i player on Sunday morning - then the good old beeb removed his show from listen again.....criminal. Any one know of a way of downloading his show - a late night and looking after the kids is just too much these days!

I agree with you Richard Mr Harris is a wonderful broadcaster.

They did the same to John Peel's show as the powers that be decided his eclectic tates were not relevant to todays youth, how ironic is that as he championed underground music before it hit big.
